September Mens Journal, look for this cover on the shelves

On page 40 of the 2008 September issue you will find a two-page photo of Chris Ryman, Endless Adventure owner, plunging over Sutherland Falls. The accompanying article mistakenly labels the falls to be 80 feet, the correct height is 60 but the drop is huge nevertheless. Photographer, Ryan Creary snapped the shot while anchored into an iron ring about 8 feet below the lip. Ryan’s stunning photo was taken with a wide-angle lens to capture both the entry, drop, and pool. Three other paddlers hucked the drop that day all experiencing somewhat of a harrowing landing. One paddler broke his paddle while another detached his lip from his face. Ryman’s helmet broke off upon entry causing spectators to believe it was his floating head running the river solo. Chris took a while to completely heal from the drop given the stress put on his rib muscles. The next massive waterfall attempt took place this spring on Beaver Creek, a first decent for Chris and Mikkel. Although the drop was a few feet higher and much higher in volume, the landings were smooth and without injury.
