The ECE DVD finally !!

It’s been almost one full year since I bought a video camera and started filming for The Endangered Creeks Expedition. When I started this adventure the plan was to show as many people as possible how great the rivers are in BC. The DVD is at long last for sale here, use the link at the top right of this page to purchase a copy and support the protection of BC rivers. And as promised it is available for free on the web in HD here and in SD at the bottom of this post. The film played at a number of film festivals across North America and even won two awards - "Best Accomplished General" at the National Paddling Film Festival in Kentucky and "Best Water Film" at the Vancouver International Film Festival. As my first foray into film making this has far exceeded my wildest expectations.

The film runs 22 minutes and features a wide variety of creeks around BC with numerous local and professional boaters. Some of the feature creeks include Pingston, St.Leon, Howser, Ashlu, Tatlow, Elk, Jordan and many more. The DVD comes with a couple extras and is in SD NTSC format. If you are interested in a HD version e-mail me at mikkel1275 (at) gmail.com and I can get you a copy.

What’s next? If I sell enough DVDs I’m going to buy a head cam to continue filming as many BC creeks as possible. The goal is to create a video guide catalog of some of the lesser known creeks in BC and Alberta to help in the fight against hydro development and preserve these rivers for future generations of paddlers.

Thanks to all the musicians who provided me with music for this project at no cost. Please check out their websites:
